(Anne) Congratulations and a Contest!
I met Michelle a long while back when we were both participating in the Harry Potter Sock Kit Swap - and several others. She even sent me an amazing package when I was visiting Chan, including this little iPod cozy:

This woman constantly amazes me at all that she manages to accomplish - knitting wise, raising kids wise, around the house - you name it. The first pattern I recall her posting was for a Harry Potter dishcloth. Since then, she’s posted many others, and continued to amaze me with what she can just ‘whip up’ out of nowhere when she doesn’t find a pattern that suits her.
And now.. she’s going to become published!!
I’m just so happy and proud for her that I could bust!
And it got me to thinking..there are so many folks who put out little designs here and there - and they’re not in Interweave or published in a book - but they’re still GREAT patterns! And so.. for next week’s Sunday Bloglines, I’d like to highlight them! Folks like Michelle and Cass and KT.
Here’s the rules:
- Post a comment with a link to a blogger who shares their own, original patterns. Don’t mind if they’ve been published, but they should have a pattern available that is not. It can be a free pattern, or one they have for sale.
- Posting on your blog is another entry (be sure to let me know if you have)
- Folks coming here after seeing it on your blog are another entry.
- Need to comment by Midnight EST on Saturday the 8th.
I’d prefer links to blogs, but if you just don’t know of a blogger you read who’s got things available, post a link to your favorite free pattern on the web instead!
I’ll draw a random winner, who in honor of Malabrigo March (link will only work if you’re on Ravelry) will receive some yummy nummy malabrigo - Lace weight or Worsted in a color (shade, not exact, not sure what I’ll have available) of their choice!

Becck at http://forwardmotion.typepad.com/becca/ has 2 sock patterns on her left sidebar.
I may be back with more. I’ll be adding a post to my blog too.

My favorite is Tuulia - she happened to spoil me in SP11. She is so incredibly talented. One day, I hope to be brave enough to make Pohjan Neito (http://docs.google.com/View?docid=dctqn9j6_6d8vpnr). Her blog is tuulia.blogspot.com!
I’m posting the contest on my blog, too

Is it tacky to list yourself? I don’t really promote my patterns, I guess I should… but they’re on my domain: http://crafty.mcmiller.ca
And for someone who is not me… I really like Eunny Jang’s designs even though I haven’t knit any of them. Print O’ the Waves Stole really calls to me.

Of course I’ll post your contest up on my blog!

Kirsten at Through the Loops has some great patterns - both for sale and for free.

I especially love the Belvedere sock, she designed it for me for a single sock swap - very sweet. The Thorpe hat rocks too:)

Hey! Thanks! So of course I have patterns for free (see my free patterns list at http://knitwithkt.blogspot.com/2007/07/knit-free-patterns-with-kt.html) as well as a new Ravelry store (http://www.ravelry.com/stores/katherine-vaughan-designs/).
But the pattern I just did that I love is the Tribble pattern: http://1870pearl.typepad.com/my_weblog/2007/02/rubadubdub.html. Abigail (1870Pearl) has a bunch of other quick and template patterns - including the four corners dishcloth and a toe-up sock pattern.
I’ll be posting on my blog about the contest - and am looking forward to seeing the list you get!

Found you through Marie of Knitted Gems post on you, M. yarn, and your contest, yippee. Marie also has a number of free knitting patterns listed on her blog.
http://knittedgems.blogspot.com/
While not a knitter myself, enjoy reading Marie’s adventures and seeing her work.
Still am interested in winning the M yarn - it looks as though it would be fab for nalbinding - which is one of the things I like to do with yarn.
Glad to have found you through Marie.
Best wishes and enjoy your contest.
